History
Rivergate Pediatrics has been serving children and families in north Nashville, Davidson, Sumner, Wilson, Robertson, Cheatham, Dickson, and some Kentucky counties since 1977 when Dr William F. Fleet opened his pediatric practice in Goodlettsville. He was joined by Dr Elizabeth Pierce in 1981 and the practice was renamed Rivergate Pediatrics. Originally located on Rivergate Parkway (then known as Two Mile Pk), the practice designed and moved into a building on Bluebird Drive. In that location, which was built for three doctors, we grew, welcoming Dr. Julia Thompson, Dr. Joan White, and Dr. Keith Thompson. Dr. Fleet retired in 1998 and Dr. Robin Pearson started in fall of 1999. In 2000 Dr. Tim Eidson joined us and we were six doctors in a space for three. In 2003 we moved again, to our present location, hopefully having designed a building that it is big enough, with enough parking, for some time to come. Dr. Pierce retired in 2008, Dr. Julia Thompson retired in 2013. Our newest partner, Dr. Toni-Ann Wright, joined our practice in November of 2018.
Our Mission
Rivergate Pediatrics strives to be a family-centered medical home for our patients, providing knowledge, advice, treatment and care coordination for wellness promotion, chronic disease management, and acute illness in a welcoming, cooperative atmosphere. We provide comprehensive care of the whole person and their family in order to promote long-term health and well-being.
Patient Centered Medical Home
Rivergate Pediatrics, PC is a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), which is a care delivery model whereby your treatment is coordinated through your primary care physician here at Rivergate Pediatrics to ensure you receive the necessary care when and where you need it, in a manner you can understand. It is important for you to provide us with your medical history, as well as information about any care you obtain outside of our practice to include your current medications, recent test results, visits to other doctors and health care providers, behavioral health services, hospitalizations, and emergency department visits.
