Received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She completed her pediatric training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and practiced there for two years. Before coming back to Tennessee, she was an assistant professor of Pediatrics for 3 years at the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. She became part of Rivergate Pediatrics in 1999. She serves on the Child Health Committee for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital (VCH) and the Editorial Board for VCH community publications. She and her husband have two boys.
